Jo Nesbo takes nom de plume

1 Mins read

The leading Scandinavian crime fiction author Jo Nesbo (right) and publisher Harvill Secker have announced a new two-book deal. And, what’s interesting about it is that the Norwegian author who created the hugely popular Harry Hole series will be writing under the pen name Tom Johansen.

The two books currently have the working titles Blood on Snow, and Blood on Snow 2, and will be released in 2014 and 2015 respectively. It’s not yet known whether they’re crime novels, however judging by the titles there’s every chance they are. More news will be revealed early in 2014 and we’ll bring you details as soon as we have them. In the meantime, have a look at our review of the latest Jo Nesbo novel, Police or read our interview with him.

The next Harry Hole novel to be released will be Cockroaches. It was second in the original Norwegian series but will appear in English on 28 November 2013.
